Due to expansion we now have a vacancy for the role of a Consultant within Isis Enterprise. Isis Enterprise, established in 2004, is a division of Isis Innovation Ltd. It offers consulting advice in technology transfer and innovation management to clients from the public and private sectors, in the UK and internationally.  Last year Isis Enterprise delivered consultancy assignments for clients in more than 30 countries.

The role is responsible for securing profitable business for the Isis Enterprise division through sales and delivery of services and products.  The role will also include working with the Managing Consultant within IE to deliver on business development and consultancy activities.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in growing and developing Isis Enterprise further. Experience of project management and/or consultancy skills is essential as well as commercial experience within a technology-based business.

Successful applicants will also have to demonstrate proven competencies in:

• Project management and contract negotiation gained within a technology focussed environment.
• Building strong relationships with commercial organisations, and fostering the relationship between them.
• Communicating effectively with a wide range of people.
• Influencing decision-makers in a variety of different organisations.
• Grasping concepts quickly, and helping translate these into marketable ideas that are commercially viable.
• Working with a close-knit team to grow Isis Enterprise’s business significantly.
• Identifying new customers and markets for Isis Enterprise.

Salary will be commensurate with ability and experience.  Benefits include pension scheme, 27 days annual holiday and childcare voucher scheme.

Isis is looking to expand its highly motivated team in North Oxford, and is currently seeking to recruit a Project Manager to join its Technology Transfer Group. Working with world-leading academics the role will include managing a number of projects from filing patents, agreeing and completing licence deals, possibly through to spinning out new companies.

The role requires a proven competency of delivering commercial results working in the field of medical technology. A PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline and direct experience of executing licensing deals would be preferable.

This role will require candidates to be able to demonstrate proven competencies in:

• Successful contract negotiation gained within relevant industry sectors.
• Managing complex projects to a successful conclusion.
• Grasping concepts quickly, and helping translate these into marketable ideas that are commercially viable.
• Building strong relationships optimally within both commercial and academic organisations.
• Communicating effectively with a wide range of people.
• Influencing decision-makers in a variety of different organisations.
• Working successfully within a close-knit team.
