Isis is looking to expand its highly motivated team in North Oxford, and is currently seeking to recruit a Project Manager to join its Technology Transfer Group. Working with world-leading academics the role will include managing a number of projects from filing patents, agreeing and completing licence deals, possibly through to spinning out new companies.
The role will require a good life sciences degree and preferably a life sciences PhD or equivalent. Successful candidates will have substantial business development experience within the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical sectors. Experience of negotiating licence deals is an important part of the role.
The role will also require the successful candidate to be able to demonstrate proven competencies in:
- Project management and contract negotiation gained either within a contract research organisation or pharmaceutical/biotech company as applicable.
- Building strong relationships with academics and client organisations, and between them.
- Communicating effectively with a wide range of people.
- Influencing decision-makers in a variety of different organisations.
- Grasping concepts quickly, and helping translate these into marketable ideas that are commercially viable.
- Working with a close-knit team to grow Isis’ business significantly.
- Identifying new customers and markets for Isis.
