Consulting support in high-throughput proteomics

In the first quarter of 2008, the Oxford Protein Production Facility (OPPF) will provide high quality practical instruction to three scientists from Evotec UK Ltd, the Oxfordshire-based drug discovery company, in the field of high-throughput (HTP) ligation-free cloning, protein expression and purification.

The OPPF is a structural proteomics facility in the Division of Structural Biology of the Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine at the University of Oxford.  It is a leading academic centre for HTP structural biology in the UK.  To date, the cutting-edge technologies and world-class expertise housed within its walls have been instrumental in solving the structures of over one hundred proteins with direct biomedical relevance.

During the course of these services, Evotec’s scientists will benefit from:

  • step-by-step guidance and instruction in the above techniques, from experimental planning to implementation, trouble-shooting, analysis and interpretation
  • the support of a dedicated world-class expert
  • practical experience of using state-of-the-art HTP protein production technologies
  • valuable know-how and useful tips, typically acquired only after much experience in the field
