Eykona Technologies Ltd
Eykona Technologies Ltd was spun-out in February 2007. The company is based upon technology developed by Professor Ron Daniel and Dr Jamie Patterson, Department of Engineering and delivers a range of portable 3D imaging systems for visual arts and quality control applications.
Cytox Ltd
Cytox Ltd was spun-out in November 2006. The company is commercialising diagnostic and therapeutic inventions made by Dr Zsuzsanna Nagy in the course of her work on the role of the neuronal cell cycle in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease.

Meet Isis One of the strengths of Isis project groups is that the staff have experience of both the worlds of academia and industry. Learn > Who's Who at Isis, for example: Fiona Begg, Project Manager, Life Science Group Fiona studied medical microbiology at Edinburgh University following a year working in pharmaceutical microbiology. Her PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology (molecular pharmacology of phosphodiesterases) was completed at Glasgow University on a BBSRC CASE studentship. This was sponsored by AstraZeneca and the first year of study was completed at their research facility in Loughborough. After a year in a business development role she spent 3.5 years with Invitrogen Ltd as a technical adviser and then in their sales team. Fiona joined Isis in 2005.
