CARBON TRUST INCUBATOR
As a partner of the Carbon Trust Incubator Programme, Isis Enterprise provides incubator services to early-stage companies whose technologies have real commercial potential and can significantly lower carbon emissions. Successful companies benefit from our expertise in a range of areas including putting together a compelling business case and dealing with investor concerns. The services provided are tailored to the individual needs of the incubatee.
Who Should Apply? University or corporate spin-outs, private start-ups, early-stage companies or individuals with innovative technologies, which have a potential to significantly reduce CO2 emissions and are commercially viable. Suitable applicants should be able to take advantage of the 12-18-month incubation period and become investor-ready or develop into a profitable business.
Our Services - Although there is growing interest in the potential returns offered by the low carbon economy, there are many good ideas that require hands-on business support and coaching if they are to raise funding at an early stage and reach their commercial potential. Isis will provide selected companies with a wide range of business management consultancy services and commercialisation expertise including:
- Initial assessment of technical and commercial viability
- Energy market and related research
- Intellectual Property policy
- Development of business skills
- Preparation of business plan
- Search for potential investors
How to Apply? The selection process for a place in the Isis Enterprise incubator is highly competitive and requires commitment and preparation by the applicant. After the initial assessment of each applicant's case, the incubator team will work with the applicant on final submission to the Carbon Trust evaluation panel.
