Technology Transfer Partnerships

Long term strategic partnerships enable Isis staff to develop close working relationships with the staff of our clients technology transfer offices. Isis staff can provide daily email and telephone support, regular face to face project reviews and can even be seconded to work as part of your commercialisation teams.

Technology Transfer Project Management

We define technology transfer project management as the full process from the identification of ideas and protection of intellectual property rights, through to marketing of opportunities, sales of technology licenses or new company shares and finally monitoring of ongoing deals. Isis staff can perform any or all of these activities under consultancy agreements.

Technology Search / Technology Scouting

With our extensive network of members of the Oxford Innovation Society, deal partners and database of academic and business contacts we are well placed to help your organisation scout for new technologies. In the event that the search identifies one or more company acquisition targets (rather than individual licensable technologies) Isis Enterprise offers an IP Acquisition service in partnership with Grant Thornton.

Technology In- and Out-Licensing

Licensing is our core business. Our expertise is available to work on securing new technologies for your organisation or helping you to out-license your valuable core or orphan intellectual assets (including software and patent rights).

Hosting Programme

We provide a formal hosting programme of training and day-to-day coaching support to staff seconded from other technology transfer offices. With access to the full range of expertise available in Isis the scheme provides a fasttrack up the technology transfer experience curve.

Policy Studies and Benchmarking Reports

With our experience of working closely with other organisations globally we are well placed to review policies and transfer best practice.

Training Events and Workshops

Our consultants are available to give presentations on all aspects of technology transfer from "Why open a technology transfer office?" through to "Technology transfer project management" and "Creating spinout companies: case studies from the University of Oxford ". We frequently prepare tailored 1-5 day training programmes for clients. We also hold regular practical training workshops.
