Electric motor control systems

More than half of all electric motors are equipped with electronic control systems based upon microprocessor control units. Currently, there is no universal software platform for such control systems, with developers having to design, test and implement new software each time a new motor/motion control system is required.

Software for motor/motion control

Mechantronica’s MexBIOS is a special operational software environment for motor/motion control. By loading the MexBIOS kernel and library onto a Microprocessor Control Unit (MCU), the MexBIOS Development Studio can be used to programme the MCU without the need for compilation software, run simulations, perform real-time debugging, and then implement the final program. Consequently, MexBIOS can significantly reduce the time taken to develop and deploy motor and motion control solutions.

Project status
