Material Sales Opportunities – Life and Medical Sciences

Isis Innovation Ltd is the technology transfer company of the University of Oxford and is involved in negotiation of commercial (for-profit) Material Sales Agreements (MSAs) between companies and Oxford academics.

Research in the life sciences often results in the creation of very specific reagents that are particularly useful in specialised areas of study such as diagnostic indicators, screening tools or molecular markers. Some reagents can be very valuable in areas of high activity of research and are sought after by companies. In fact there are many companies that specialise in the distribution and sales of research reagents. They are able to hold stocks of reagents and market, sell and distribute them efficiently on a worldwide scale. Commercialisation using this route saves researchers time and money, as they no longer have to maintain and distribute stocks themselves.

Isis Innovation has launched a new service to market research reagents via our website, making the process as easy and straightforward as possible for researchers to submit reagents. Isis will market and negotiate commercial terms for the rights to sell and distribute reagents, and will also ensure that any money made is distributed according to the university's revenue sharing policy.

Research Reagents for Sale

Isis Innovation offers research reagents for sale such as antibodies, cell lines and other materials that have been created by Oxford University researchers within the Life Science departments. We also market several questionnaires for use in assessment of healthcare outcomes in clinical trials. These items are available under a licensing or material sales agreement arranged and concluded by Isis.
