New User Manual Available for the Myocardial Infarction Dimensional Assessment Scale (MIDAS)
19 January 2012
Isis Outcomes supports users of its recently launched Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO) measure, the Myocardial Dimensional Assessment Scale (MIDAS), with the commissioning of a comprehensive user manual. Available to licensees of the MIDAS, the manual provides essential information to any user on the proper administration and scoring of the MIDAS as well as details on the development, testing, properties, validation, application and references. This new manual also includes a section on the compliance of the MIDAS with FDA guidelines on the development and use of PRO measures1.
The manual was created by the researchers who developed the MIDAS in association with Isis Outcomes.
David Churchman of Isis Outcomes said “This new user manual for the MIDAS includes details on the proper deployment and scoring of the MIDAS and also development and performance information in a single reference source. The commissioning of a user manual by Isis Outcomes demonstrates our commitment to supporting users of our PRO measures, and will encourage the adoption of the MIDAS”.
Isis Outcomes is an activity within Technology Transfer, part of Isis Innovation Limited, the Technology Transfer Company for the University of Oxford. Isis Outcomes is dedicated to the provision and support in use of high quality PRO measures to the Pharmaceutical and healthcare provider sectors.
The MIDAS is a 35-item condition-specific PRO for the measurement of health status of individuals who have suffered a Myocardial Infarction (MI, or heart attack).
