Technology Transfer from the University of Oxford

Oxford BioDynamics

Oxford BioDynamics offers a novel and revolutionary platform technology in the diagnostics field of aberrant gene expression. By combining a molecular biology assay, Chromosome Conformation Capture Assay (3C), with proprietary mathematical analysis of the specific DNA sequences within the locus of a gene, Oxford BioDynamics has been able to test and detect unambiguously specific high-order conformations  corresponding to specific gene expression states, including the abnormal ones.

• The technology allows screening; early detection and monitoring of major diseases associated with aberrant gene expression, i.e. Cancer, neurodegenerative conditions, such as Alzheimer’s disease, and inflammatory conditions.

• The technology allows early detection of aberrant expression in a very low copy number of abnormal cells, literally “finding a needle in a hay stack” at the early stage of the disease.

Oxford BioDynamics is setting up local technology platform providers in Singapore, India and the Middle East, to commercialize the technology in different therapeutic areas.
