Spin-out Companies
Since 1997, Isis Innovation has been responsible for creating spin-out companies based on academic research generated within and owned by the University of Oxford, and has spun-out a new company every two months on average. The combined value of Oxford's companies has reached £2 billion, using quoted market capitalisations and investor valuations for unquoted companies. The creation of these new spin-out companies benefits local economic development and has created many new jobs in the region.
Isis continually seeks managing directors for its new spin-out companies.
Isis continually seeks investors for its new spin-out companies and organises its investor network through the 'Isis Angels Network'. No investor has acquired any first rights to invest in new Oxford University spin-out companies, and Isis seeks investments into its spin-outs from all investors.
