Oxford Molecular - now Accelrys Ltd
Oxford Molecular provided chemical information management and decision-support software to researchers in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, agrochemical and related chemical research industries. The company was acquired by Pharmacopeia Inc in 2000 and integrated into Pharmacopeia's software subsidiary, Accelrys, in 2001.
Accelrys is a leader in cheminformatics, bioinformatics, and simulation software for the pharmaceutical and chemical industries -- the company has now brought together technology spin-outs from institutions including Oxford, Cambridge, York, Leeds, Wisconsin, and Harvard Universities and the California Institute of Technology. European headquarters are now in Cambridge.
